In August 2007, we undertook a full refurbishment of the gym including new showers to the girls' changing room, redecoration and repairs to the ring. We would like to thank those for their generosity in donating various supplies for this work to be undertaken including Buildrite Trade & DIY Supplies Ltd, Delta Plumbing, Jewson and Lomand Homes.

In 1997 with the help of Weymouth & Portland Council, the boxing club applied to the Lottery Fund for a grant to improve the gymnasium, and were successful in receiving £27,000.

These monies were spent on a complete refurbishment of the premises at 32a Hardwick Street, with all new equipment, a new heating system, new showers and toilets for lady members and a new medical room.

The 'Weymouth Amateur Boxing Club' is now one of the best equipped in the South and the envy of many who visit it.
